Steve Kotchko is news director for the Connecticut Radio Network. The network has been providing news and information for Connecticut radio stations since 1972. Steve has been on the job as the network's State Capitol bureau chief since 1973, and is considered "dean" of the Capitol press corps.
In handling the legislature, state government, and politics, Steve has covered every Connecticut governor since the late Thomas Meskill and interviewed numerous national figures including Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and Bill Clinton.
Steve serves the network's parent company, CRN International, as vice president for news and is a member of the firm's strategy board. He also hosts a statewide public affairs program on Connecticut Public Television and pens a monthly politics column for Connecticut Magazine.
